Career

Marshall made her first film appearance as Ardis Gaines in Wives of Tomorrow (). Her first billing as Brenda Marshall came in Espionage Agent ().[2] The following year, she played the prime lady to Errol Flynn in The Sea Hawk. After divorcing actor Richard Gaines in , she married William Holden in , and her discharge career soon slowed.

She starred opposite James Histrion in Captains of the Clouds ().

Marshall comed in The Constant Nymph (), but she wellnigh retired after this, appearing in only four very films, including the Western Whispering Smith (). She also played scientist Nora Goodrich in the Confused picture cult film Strange Impersonation ().

Personal life

Marshall was born as Ardis Ankerson in the island of Negros, in the State to Swedish parents.[3] She did not use composite stage name off set.
